Near Riyadh Metro is an independent, non-commercial website that helps people discover places near Riyadh Metro stations and bus stops. It is not affiliated with any government entity. You can reach us at admin@nearriyadhmetro.com.

What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the website:

• Location suggestions: When you use the "Suggest a Place" form, we store the place name and Google Maps link you provide. No name or email is collected.
• Server logs: Our web hosting infrastructure automatically records standard web server logs, including visitor IP addresses, pages visited, and browser type. These logs are used for security and server diagnostics only.
• Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It only reports aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g. number of visitors).

"Locate Nearest Station" Feature

When you use the "Locate Nearest Station" button, your device's GPS coordinates are used entirely within your browser to find the nearest metro station or bus stop. Your location is never sent to our servers and is never stored anywhere.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies. We store your language preference (English or Arabic) in your browser's local storage — this stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. Plausible Analytics, our analytics tool, does not set any cookies.

Third-Party Services

• Plausible Analytics (EU): Collects anonymous, aggregated visitor statistics. No personal data. See their privacy policy.
• Web Hosting Infrastructure: The cloud platform hosting this website stores submitted data and automatically records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and operational purposes.
• Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google's servers. Google may collect basic request data. See Google's privacy policy.
• OpenStreetMap / Leaflet: Map tiles may be loaded from OpenStreetMap servers. See OSM's privacy policy.

Data Retention

Location suggestions submitted via the form are kept for as long as needed to review and act on them. You may request deletion of any suggestion you submitted by contacting us at admin@nearriyadhmetro.com.

In accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), you have the right to:
